There Is Such A Thing As Joyful Woe

There is such a thing as joyful woe
It lights inside an insipid glow

But a solitary search for peaceful noise
Can only result in restless poise

Like the possession of a flawed ideal
As opposite as repulsive appeal

And living life with jaded verve
As nonsensical as an insensitive nerve

Minds wrought with muted emotion
Are as evident as an absent ocean
